Heptonstall Museum Preview and Performance Day

Price: £Free

Event description

We’re proud to present a jam-packed afternoon of entertainment, giving you a flavour of the events we’re planning throughout the year.

Drop in for one or all the performances, or just to say hello and hear more or sign up to become a Friend of the Museum or future volunteer.

Midday (90 mins): Heptonstall: Village of Memories

Kicking off proceedings, we’re offering a rare opportunity to experience local film-maker and Museum trustee – Nick Wilding’s evocative film exploring our local history, with the help of humour, intrigue and pathos from some of the colourful characters of the past.

2pm Performance & Preview of Heptonstall Museum Forthcoming Events

  • “The Ballad of King David Hartley” – composed and specially written for our forthcoming Coiners’ exhibition by Michael Crowley & Porl Den-Man, exclusive first performance by Porl Den-Man.

  • Sarah Corbett, Plath Festival founder – poetry-reading and sharing her plans to bring a regular monthly poetry event to the museum.
