The Playhouse is a Grade II listed building and has been used as a theatre since 1947, after it was converted by the Halifax Thespians from a Methodist Chapel. There will be tours of the building, to places the public don’t get to see.

Halifax Playhouse is wheelchair accessible, has a disabled toilet and designated space for two wheelchairs.
Ramped access is also available to the box office. Please ring the box office on arrival and a staff member will be happy to provide access to the box office via a rear ramp.
