The Halifax family story of serial killer JRH Christie who killed many women in west London in the 1940s and ’50s.
In 1953 the police were knocking on doors in Akroydon and Halifax, looking for relatives and friends of John Reginald Halliday Christie, just arrested for mass murder in Notting Hill, London. David will take you to see locations in Haley Hill and Boothtown connected with Christie’s upbringing and family. We shall identify some of the family homes, the site of the primary school he attended, and the church with family connections. Find out where Christie’s wife and mother
originated, and learn about his boyhood friend who became a famous film star.
