Find out what life was like for workers in the local mills and factories, and then join us playing children’s games and enjoy some traditional folk music and dancing.
The museum will have a demonstration of spinning and weaving by our volunteers and you can try your hand at doffing and peg weaving, or experiment with a model waterwheel.
We will also have a group of clog dancers and a hurdy gurdy player, to keep you entertained.
The museum will be fully open as normal with the café serving the usual selection of refreshments and the shop open to buy gifts and souvenirs. All activities are accessible to wheelchair users and will be outside undercover, weather permitting.
The event is included with the museum admission. £5 adults, £4 concessions and accompanied children under 16 are free. No booking required.
