DESCRIPTION:7.30pm \nNovelist Jean Renwick will talk of the years of painstaking research behind her recently published family saga\, The Mourning Brooch\, Book One – An ending. A beginning\, which is based upon the lives of real Yorkshire people who lived in the second half of the 19th century. After inheriting a mourning brooch\, Jean was intrigued to know who was Elizabeth Addy\, commemorated in the brooch\, and what happened to the two little girls she left behind. Acclaimed by local historians for its authenticity\, the novel reveals how the girls’ lives take them in very different directions between 1849 and 1876 \nMeetings are held in the Halifax Room\, Calderdale Industrial Museum\, Square Road\, Halifax HX1 1Q \n  \nAdmission \nNon-member attendees are welcome\, they are asked to contribute a donation of £3.00 per lecture. \nPlease enquire about becoming a member! \n\n\n  \n\nAccessibility Information; \n\nAccess is to the side of the Museum via our newly-installed ramp and stairs.\nInternally there are stairs and a lift to all floors.\nDisabled Parking is available by prior request.\n\n
