DESCRIPTION:10.30am \nFREE entry (NB Please register your place here) \nIntroductory tour of the ‘Fashion in the Time of Anne Lister’ exhibition with Curator\, Elinor Camille-Wood. Discover fascinating 1830s dresses\, with supersized sleeves\, intricate patterned designs\, flamboyant bonnets\, wonderful waistcoats and lots more! \n  \nCharting the changing shape of fashion in the early 1800s from the empire line dresses to ‘leg of mutton’ sleeves\, this exhibition will showcase Calderdale Museum’s world class costume and textile collection alongside loans from museums and private collectors. \nThe exhibition will allow you to discover how it feels to wear an 1830s day dress with our new trying on outfit\, and learn what ladies wore under their gowns to create these flamboyant shapes. \nThe exhibition is at Bankfield Museum’s Fashion Gallery. \nPlease note that Bankfield Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am – 4pm and closed on Sundays and Mondays. \n  \nAccessibility Information: \n\nDisabled parking is to the rear of building with access via a ramp.\nAll of the Ground Floor is wheelchair accessible (main areas and galleries of museum).\nToilets\, disabled toilet and baby change are all on ground floor.\nLarge print labels are available for exhibitions. and Handling Boxes are available for visually impaired visitors .\nPlease contact us to discuss any requirements\, our staff will be glad to help you.
