Join local historian David Glover for an in-depth look at the captivating mill buildings which were once home to Crossley Carpets, the world’s largest carpet manufacturer. Hear how the Crossley family began operations in 1803 in a rented mill, later pioneering the first power-driven carpet looms for the industry and explore the Dean Clough site, including a look at the ‘lost’ railway.
This walk will include some steep steps and uneven surfaces, please wear suitable footwear.
