An awesome line up of local artists this coming Sunday in the Golden Lion Todmorden live room (upstairs)
Doors 7pm
The night will open with Joan the Wad’s rich vocals and harmony flavouring the darker edges of these melodic but melancholic, bittersweet songs that are inspired by and reflect the magic in the mundane.
Then we have Benny Jones, playing freak folk songs with a drone box, foot percussion, banjo and guitar. His songs go from dreamy strangeness to upbeat rocky stompers.
Followed by traditional music from Hebble and songs inspired by local myth and legend of the Yorkshire landscape and people. They have bodhran, cello, and bouzouki, with three-part harmonies to boot. Glorious!
Tickets £7 + booking fee in advance via Skiddle, or on the door.
