Two session are taking place at 9:45 (depart at 10:00) & 11:45
Over the years, hundreds of houses in Halifax and across the world proudly displayed a Crossley carpet but how many people know the fascinating history of the Crossley family and the legacy they left in the town?
Join Halifax Heritage Tour’s bus tour, starting and finishing at Dean Clough, and learn about the history of the Crossley family, including how its carpet manufacturing business grew in the 19th century. The tour also explores the later history of Dean Clough over the last 40+ years and its transformation into a thriving cultural and business hub.
Where: Meet outside Lucy’s Little Bake House, Bowling Mill Courtyard (09:45 session), Meet in the Crossley Gallery, D Mill (11:45 session)
