Creating a Christmas Image – Watercolour Workshops
Event description
10am – 12pm and 1pm – 3pm
Join watercolour artist Jane Austin for a workshop creating your own Christmas image of a natural wreath, either as a painting or small personal cards. Jane will show you several watercolour techniques which suit the different elements of a Christmas wreath including the use of shadow to bring depth. Ideal for making your own Christmas cards or as an early Christmas present.
Jane Austin has been a professional artist for 25 years. Her work has been exhibited nationally and locally, with many solo exhibitions at All Souls’ Church. Her work can be seen currently at Bankfield Museum, Shibden Hall, the Halifax Minster, Dean Clough and the Piece Hall.
Paper, brushes, pencils, and paint and all other materials used will be provided as well as source material.
The workshop takes place upstairs with no lift access.
Minimum age 12
Space is limited to 10 people per course

- Disabled parking is to the rear of building with access via a ramp.
- All of the Ground Floor is wheelchair accessible (main areas and galleries of museum).
- Toilets, disabled toilet and baby change are all on ground floor.
- Large print labels are available for exhibitions. and Handling Boxes are available for visually impaired visitors .
