Cornholme & Portsmouth Great Get Together

The Cornholme & Portsmouth Great Get Together is a free community celebration for all ages, organised by IMT Forever CIC. Taking place on Saturday 5th September, 11:00am–4:00pm, the event brings local people together to enjoy creativity, movement, nature, entertainment and community activities in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Taking place across several venues in Cornholme (all less than one mile from each other), the day offers opportunities to get creative, try something new, meet local groups and enjoy activities for all generations. Throughout the day there will be arts and crafts, nature activities, community mural painting, quilt making, T-shirt printing, board games, yoga, intergenerational dance and sports, creative writing, Shiatsu massage, henna, and much more.

The event is designed to be welcoming and inclusive, with activities suitable for people of all ages and abilities. Whether you come along with family, friends, neighbours or on your own, there will be plenty of opportunities to take part, explore and enjoy the day.

A free packed lunch will be available (subject to availability). Additional refreshments and ice cream will also be available to purchase throughout the day.

The main event hub is Vale Community Garden and Vale Baptist Church, Cornholme, OL14 8JY. Activities will also take place at other nearby locations, including outdoor spaces, all within easy travelling distance. Free transport will be available between venues throughout the day to help visitors make the most of everything on offer.

Cornholme is easily accessible by bus from Todmorden, and street parking is available close to the main venue.

Accessibility Information

All main venues have step-free access and accessible toilet facilities. Some activities will take place outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Seating and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

The Great Get Together is free to attend and everyone is welcome. Whether you stay for the whole day or simply drop in for a few activities, we look forward to welcoming you.
