In a small friendly group we will explore creative ways use calligraphy to create Christmas cards, address and embellish festive envelopes and personalise gift tags.
We will experiment with white and gold inks on colour card and look for simple, yet effective ways to add some sparkle to our calligraphy work.
You will find plenty of inspiration and motivation to delight your friends and family with beautiful personalised gifts.
Everything you need for the workshop will be provided, so just bring yourself, or come with a friend, for an afternoon of festive creativity.

How to create a flourished Christmas star.
How to address and embellish a festive envelope.
Calligraphy for gift tags.
Practical tips for working with white and metallic inks.

WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR:
This workshop assumes some prior experience of calligraphy. Although what we learn on the day will not be difficult, we will not be covering the basics of using pointed pen and nib.

Please don’t wear your best clothes as the inks can stain!

Dean Clough offers plenty of car parking spaces directly outside the venue.
Car parking is free on Saturday.

Your workshop will start promptly at 13:00
Please aim to arrive 5 min early to make the most of the personalised tuition.
You don’t need to bring anything but please don’t wear your best clothes as the ink can stain.
Self-serve teas and coffees will be provided.

The venue is easily accessible for wheelchair users. Disabled access toilet is available. There are no steps to access the cafe and the car park is immediately outside.
