Event description
Now in its 12th year, this competition is open to all amateur and professional artists.
Artists are invited to submit original pieces of artwork in any 2D medium, the best of which will be selected for display at Smith Art Gallery, Brighouse.
There will be prizes for the top three artworks, including a £250 cash first prize and an additional People’s Prize voted for by members of the public.
The theme of this year’s competition is ‘Memories’.
Entries can only be submitted digitally through the Calderdale Museums website, where you will also find the terms and conditions of entry. The entry portal is open from now until Sunday 15 November 2026
