Follow in the footsteps and spade marks of the people who did the hard graft at Shibden Hall.
Cunnery Wood was home to a rabbit warren in the past that would have provided a source of meat to Shibden Hall, has a pit from one of Anne Lister’s mines (now filled in), was the home of the estate kitchen garden and is now a Local Nature Reserve.
Join staff and volunteers from Calderdale Countryside Service to assist with management of Cunnery Wood – cutting back vegetation and habitat creation.
Bring outdoor clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty, boots, refreshments and gardening gloves.
FREE of charge.
