SUMMARY:Janet Street Porter is Off The Leash
DESCRIPTION:7:30pm \nJanet Street Porter is Off The Leash and coming to the Halifax Playhouse on 1st April – no it’s not an April Fool. \nFrom a bolshy child with a Welsh-speaking budgie to National Treasure\, Janet Street-Porter’s life (and language) has always been colourful. \nAs a broadcaster\, television executive and newspaper editor she was at the forefront of some of Britain’s most enduring cultural moments. Now she finds herself with a\nsenior railcard and 4 ex-husbands. The nation’s favourite pissed-off pensioner brings comedy\, tragedy and gossip in equal measure\, a tour de force rant against growing old gracefully. \nOften imitated but rarely equalled\, in the words of her good friend Elton\, “the bitch is back”! \nOnly a few tickets left so book now! \n  \nACCESSIBILITY  INFORMATION\nOur theatre\, the Halifax Playhouse\, has a fully accessible main entrance. It is stair free and ramped. This is on Hanover Street. \nThe council on-street parking\, and the council car park to the rear of the building is free of charge for blue badge holders\, but there are no specifically designated disabled spaces. \nOur auditorium access from the foyer is stair free and wheelchair accessible. \nWe do not have an accessible bar\, or cafe bar\, but our kiosk does have bottled water and snacks available for most auditorium shows. \nWe have a number of wheelchair spaces at the rear of the auditorium\, and we can make more available\, with notice\, if required\, please contact stage@halifaxplayhouse.org.uk if you require more than 2 wheelchair spaces for a performance. \nWe also have allocation for companion seats\, next to our wheelchair spaces. Companion seats are complimentary\, for all Halifax Thespian shows\, for external lets\, please contact our box office to confirm details for specific shows: boxoffice@halifaxplayhouse.org.uk. \nWe have an accessible WC\, in our foyer. This is unisex. We support invisible disabilities (a physical\, mental\, or neurological condition that is not visible from the outside yet can limit or challenge a person’s movements\, senses\, or activities) and with relevant documentation\, complimentary companion tickets are available\, if required. \nWe now have an infra-red hearing loop in our theatre\, if you require use of it\, please speak to our Front of House team\, who will be happy to help you. \nAssistance dogs are welcome. \nIf you have any queries about access\, please contact: Health and Safety officer: Socialmedia@halifaxplayhouse.org.uk Stage Director: Stage@halifaxplayhouse.org.uk Box Office: Boxoffice@halifaxplayhouse.org.uk
