All walks must be pre-booked through Ticket Source [www.ticketsource.co.uk] and cost £5. Bookings open on Thursday 7th November; 8am for walks to 5th April and 2pm for the remainder of the programme. There will be a maximum of 35 per walk.

Short Description A walk from Anne Lister's new lodge along the serpentine driveway of 1837, to view the Hall she embellished and the parkland she created, leads on to locations of Lister tenancies in the Shibden Valley. Hear anecdotes of a quirky people who lived there in Anne's time, and see the former Stag's Head Inn where she collected rents. What happened in the great flood of 1837? With mentions of mining and stone quarrying. Walk Leader: David Glover Meet at 2pm at Shibden Hall overflow car park immediately after the Godley Lane entrance. HX3 6XG. This is a circular walk of 2½ hours. Dogs on leads welcome. Some sections could be muddy and fairly steep. Walking shoes/boots are advisable.
