2026 is looking big for Calderdale. Whether you’re into live music, local traditions, food festivals, heritage, or just soaking up the atmosphere in our beautiful towns and valleys, there’s something happening pretty much every week. The Piece Hall is once again gearing up for an epic summer of concerts, with huge names taking to the courtyard stage.
We’ve also got beloved favourites like the Anne Lister Festival, and Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend returning, plus brand-new additions including Stage at the Lake at Shibden Park in August, and the Calderdale Festival of Food in September. Hebden Bridge Duck Race — 6 Apr
A brilliant family day out featuring hundreds of racing ducks bobbing down the river!
Todmorden Folk Festival — 1–3 May
Live folk music, Morris dancers and a great community buzz.
Circus Extreme, Savile Park — 20 May
A high-energy circus bringing jaw‑dropping stunts and family entertainment.
Todmorden Carnival — 23 May
Colourful parade, funfair, community stalls and plenty for kids.
Brighouse Vintage Day — 7 June
Due to ongoing works in the town centre, the well-loved Brighouse 1940s weekend is having a year off! Instead, come along to Brighouse Vintage Day to celebrate all things from a bygone era.
Halifax Gala, Manor Heath — 13 June
A family-friendly summer gala with rides, stalls and local performances.

Heptonstall Festival — 4 July
Live music, craft stalls and a great hilltop village atmosphere.
Happy Valley Pride — Dates TBC (usually mid–late July)
A warm and inclusive Pride celebration with arts, cabaret and community events over a 9 day period.

Stage at the Lake (Culturedale) — 13–16 Aug
A NEW event for 2026! Open-air performances at Shibden Park’s lakeside, plus a chance to wander through specially commissioned micro gardens. Watch this space for more details!
