Here’s your guide to Bonfires and Firework displays across Calderdale for 2024!

FRIDAY 1ST NOVEMBER 2024

BROD’S BIG BONFIRE

TIMINGS

4.30pm Clubhouse Open serving food for all the family

7pm Bonfire is lit

7.30pm Fireworks display

8pm Jimbo Lynch plays live in The Clubhouse

11pm Last orders in the clubhouse

TICKETS

Ticket only (available from behind the clubhouse bar in October)

£7 adults, £3 for U18s*, free for U4s

*U18s must be accompanied by an adult

 

SATURDAY 2nd NOVEMBER 2024

ELLAND ROUND TABLE BONFIRE AND FIREWORK DISPLAY

The Hellfyre Magpies fire dancing team will be on hand to light the bonfire at 5:30pm with the special children’s fireworks setting off at 6:15pm (the children’s firework show will be a ‘low noise’ display, in order to enable SEN families to attend and enjoy the show) and the main display at 7pm. The main display will be a traditional one, with the usual bangs and showers of colours.

Bonfire lighting – 5.30pm
Children’s Quiet Fireworks Display – 6.15pm
Main Fireworks Display – 7pm

TICKETS

Advance prices of £6 adults, £3 kids (3-16 years), with under 3’s receiving free entry. Family tickets are £18 (covering two adults and up to three children), whilst disabled attendees paying for a ticket will receive a carers entry ticket for free, when selecting the relevant option. The prices are in advance only and will be slightly more on the night for walk-up attendees.

ALWAYS FOLLOW THE FIREWORK CODE

  • Stand well back
  • Keep pets indoors
  • Keep fireworks in a closed box
  • Only buy fireworks that are CE marked
  • Light at arm’s length, using a taper
  • Follow the instructions on each firework
  • Never give sparklers to a child under five
  • Don’t drink alcohol if setting off fireworks
  • Always supervise children around fireworks
  • Light sparklers one at a time and wear gloves
  • Never put fireworks in your pocket or throw them
  • Never go near a firework that has been lit – even if it hasn’t gone off it could still explode
  • Stay Safe, be Considerate (let our neighbours know you will be having a display, especially if they are elderly, or they have pets of children) and don’t become  a Nuisance.
