Square Chapel Arts Centre makes a very welcome return with live comedy and cinema from today. Take a look at their new website to see all the great shows and films coming your way in the next few months!
Halifax Playhouse brings you slapstick, silliness, song and satire in a glorious celebration of British comedy; One Man Two Guvnors. (Friday & Saturday Evenings 7.30pm and Saturday matinee 2.30pm)
The Cribs plus special guest Everything Everything, Black Honey, The Orielles & The Lounge Society at the Piece Hall. (from 4pm)
Saturday 4th September
It’s the first day of the Sowerby Bridge Rushbearing Festival! It all begins at St. John’s Church, Warley at 10.15am and the day ends at The Moorings from around 5.30pm. See the Festival website for maps and approximate timings for both days.
Calderdale Heritage Walks help you to explore Anne Lister’s Shibden; Her Private Face. At the time of writing three tickers were still available for this hugely popular walk. Check the website to see if any are still left.
The Brighouse and Rastrick Band are in concert at Victoria Theatre, Halifax at 3pm.
The Castle Carr Fountain Walk makes a very welcome return. The walk out to the Fountain starts at 12 noon prompt. Please note that this is a ticket only event. Take a look here for full details of how to get yours.
The Sowerby Bridge Rushbearing Festival continues rom 10am at St. Peter’s Church Sowerby with the Rushcart following a route that culminates at St Bartholmew’s Church and The Old Bridge Inn Ripponden around 5pm. See the Festival website (link above) for full details.
Iconic Yorkshire Musician Richard Hawley comes to The Piece Hall with very special guests john Grant and Studio Electronique. At the time of writing, tickets are still available so check ‘em out quickly.
