What's On This Weekend in Calderdale
We have so much for you to enjoy in Halifax and across Calderdale this weekend!
From Friday to Sunday you can explore the award-winning International Market in Halifax town centre, with international street food, fresh food, crafts, gifts, plants and garden ornaments.
The Circus has come to town! Circus Extreme at Shibden Park brings you death-defying stunts, clown escapades and show-stopping performances that will have you on the edge of your seat, when not falling off it with laughter.
Fancy going to the beach? Then head to The Piece Hall from Friday to Tuesday to enjoy Sandy Summer Daze with sand between your toes, the sounds of the beach and an ice-cream or two as the giant courtyard is transformed into a beachfront packed with traditional attractions. (FREE entry but tickets must be booked in advance).
The Halifax Gin & Fizz Festival returns to the Victoria Theatre on Saturday. Expect the very best from local distillers and other service suppliers from around the UK as you meet the distillers, chat, sample and go on; buy a bottle or two of your favourites to enjoy at home. (Tickets from £15, two session at 1pm & 7pm).
Further up t’valley at Hebden Bridge Town Hall you can enjoy a FREE colourful exhibition ‘Our Vibrant Valley in 1000 Postcards’, which runs until 6th August.
Calderdale Industrial Museum is open on Saturday too, as are Bankfield Museum and Shibden Hall. Add in our beautiful local parks and gardens and fantastic independent shops, cafes bars and restaurants and you have everything you need to make a weekend for all the family to remember!
