What's On This Halloween in Calderdale
There’s fiendish fun for Boils and Ghouls of all ages to be found in Calderdale this Halloween!
A coven of witches and a convocation of wizards have flown in to use the Eureka! the National Children’s Museum for their official Halloween recruitment drive in ‘Hocus Pocus’ (19th Oct – 3rd Nov).
The spooky Brighouse Halloween Trail takes you and your little monsters across the town centre collecting clues hidden in creepy window displays as well as free treats (while stocks last) for children in costume, 12 and under, accompanied by an adult (26th Oct).
The Great Pumpkin Festival returns to Hebden Bridge – you can enjoy carved pumpkin trails, go searching for Boggarts and ghosts with the wonderful story-teller Ursula Holden-Gill or try your hand at carving your own pumpkin, enjoy live music and performances throughout the day (26th Oct).
An evening of family fun awaits you at The Halifax Spooktacular at Manor Heath park, with a Spooky Tunnel, FREE Treasure Hunt, Arena Entertainment and one of the biggest firework displays in Calderdale! Fancy Dress is encouraged for all of our guests – young or old. Whether you’re 3 or 103, come dressed up and you could be in a chance to win the Fancy Dress competition! (26th Oct)
Come and carve your own pumpkin with the expert carvers from 'Sand in Your Eye' at Halifax Borough Market! (30th Oct)
Join in with some spooky games at Bankfield Museum and create your own skeleton from the Day of the Dead (30th Oct - booking essential).
Enjoy an evening of ghost stories in the atmospheric candlelit Halifax Minster with David Glover - mostly fact with perhaps a smidgen of legend! (31st Oct – booking essential).
Follow a spooky trail around Shibden Hall and then make a spooky 3D Shibden (31st Oct - booking essential).
Please note that Bertie's Spooky Disco in Elland, that was due to be held on Friday 1st November, has sadly had to be cancelled.
