Saturday 17th June

At the Calderdale Armed Forces Event in Halifax town centre representatives from the armed forces will be there to help you find out about military life past and present. Enjoy stalls, military vehicles, equipment, a medical tent, full field kitchen and much more! (9am – 5pm FREE)

The Todmorden Agricultural Show returns its new home on the land next to the Ram Inn, Burnley Road, Cliviger, Burnley. This is a fantastic day out for all the family; with animals, rare breeds, displays, a fun fair, trade stands, vintage vehicles, special events and more from 9.30am. (Adults £8, Children £4)

New exhibition an A-Z of Maps starts at Bankfield Museum. Discover historic maps of the region and the world in this exploration of map making - from maps of the local area to the stars; featuring hand drawn, embroidered, 3D, and artistic maps from Calderdale Museums' Collections. (10am – 4pm FREE)

A day of fun for all the family with Hipperholme’s fourth annual charity Brodstock Festival. Held at Old Brodleians Rugby Union Club in Halifax, there will be music, stalls and entertainment, all raising money for the Overgate Hospice in Elland.

Join Halifax Civic Trust for a guided walk looking at vacant ‘at risk’ buildings in Halifax. (2.30pm FREE)

Enjoy an interactive production of Robin Hood in Centre Vale Park Todmorden, with something to make, do and watch. (5.30pm Adults £11, Children £7).


Father’s Day Sunday 18th June

Wainhouse Tower is open for ascents - climb the 403 steps of the internal spiral staircase to take in the fantastic views from this fabulously ornate 77 metre (253 foot) high Victorian chimney! (11am  4pm Adults £2.50, Children £2, Family £8).

Join Calderdale Heritage Walks for a guided walk around Halifax with the theme of Suffragettes & Slaves (2.30pm £3)
