What's On in Calderdale 4th & 5th August 2018
It’s the return of the Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend! Enjoy a huge display of cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, craft and produce stalls, auto jumble, live music, vintage children's rides and much more. Different vehicles can be seen on each of the two days. (10am - 5pm Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th August Adult £5, child £2 Family £10 Up to 2 adults and 3 children).
At The Piece Hall you can enter the Actual Reality Arcade where you bring the games to life! Pilot spaceships, dodge barrels, build Tetris walls, fire rockets, shoot alien invaders and become Pac-Man. Once in the arcade, you can take on the challenge of 10 games using your mind, body and imagination to succeed. A mix of interactive fun and laughter with physical play, whilst also bringing back nostalgic memories and giving opportunities for new happy ones. (11am – 6pm Friday & Saturday £2 per person, pay at arcade entrance).
Both the Actual Reality Arcade and Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend continue.

To mark the bicentenary of the birth of Emily Brontë, author of Wuthering Heights, Halifax Civic Trust will host a talk Emily in Halifax by Sue Newby of the Brontë Parsonage Museum, Haworth at St Anne’s Church, Southowram at (2pm FREE. This will be followed by the unveiling of a blue plaque to commemorate Emily’s time in Halifax at Law Hill House, Southowram).
Join Calderdale Heritage Walks to explore The Changing Face of Mytholmroyd. (Meet David Cant at 2.15pm at Mytholmroyd Community Centre car park, Caldene Avenue HX7 5AF £3 per person).
