Friday 13th April
'If at 65 you could say something to yourself at 23, what would it be?' Rear View is a unique experience where the town becomes the stage for a mesmerising moving show. The audience sit on a custom-made double decker bus, while listening through headsets and watching as the story plays out. See Halifax as you’ve never seen it before, as familiar and unusual locations become part of the performance. (Piece Hall: Fri 13 April: 12pm, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm, 6pm & 7pm. Strictly Come Dancing's Aljaz and Janette invite you to step back in time and relive special moments from the career of dancing extraordinaire, Fred Astaire. The `Remembering Fred Tour' will take you on a magical journey of dance, live music and entertainment supported by special appearances from various celebrity guests. Join Calderdale Heritage Walks to discover how the Highroadwell and West End areas of Halifax have changed from arms, fields, a quarry and an old road to a busy suburb. (Meet David Nortcliffe at 2.15pm at West View Park (Lodge entrance), Warley Road, HX1 0BQ £3)
Halifax Choral Society, which is celebrating its 200th year, recreates their first ever concert in this very special occasion. Back in February 1818, they performed Franz Joseph Haydn's 'The Creation', telling the story of God's creation, and are doing it all again in 2018! Conducted by John Pryce-Jones, this entrancing oratorio is not to be missed! (Victoria Theatre 6.30pm £12 - £24).
