In line with guidance issued by the UK Government COVID-secure film and TV production, in studios and on location, can continue in England under the new regulations.
While the restrictions affect many aspects of all our lives, exemptions do exist for work, education and other legally permitted reasons. The exemptions for work, which cannot be done from home, cover all aspects of filming, including scouting and recces. Travel for work purposes within England and internationally is also permitted as is staying in a hotel.
Filming can also continue to take place in the premises of businesses that are closed to the general public due to the new Health Protection Regulations
As appropriate, Calderdale Council continues to support film and TV productions which work safely within the COVID safety guidance prepared by the British Film Commission, developed in liaison with Government and industry.
