English Tourism Week Day One: 5 Great Things In Calderdale To Do With The Kids
English Tourism Week is here to help kick start the holiday season! To help celebrate the many, many great things Modestly Magnificent Calderdale has to offer, we're making a new post each day listing just some of the great things you can see, do, eat and drink!
For Day 1 today, Five Great Things to Do With the Kids!
Eureka! is an extraordinary fun-packed day out for families. The only fully interactive museum totally dedicated to children aged 0-11 anywhere in the UK, nothing is behind a glass cabinet! You’ll find over 400 interactive, hands-on exhibits across six unique zones, each designed to inspire enquiring minds to find out about themselves and the world around them.
Go Climbing, Bouldering, Indoor Caving and more at Rokt in Brighouse. Rokt is home to the UK's highest man-made outdoor climbing wall, amazing indoor climbing, a Nerf arena, spin cycle studio, escape rooms, yoga studio, award-winning pub and restaurant! The Kids Attic is a great space for your kids to play and climb in safety. There’s small climbing wall, mini boulders, a ball pool and seating – plenty for the little ones to do when older ones are off climbing.
This activity and adventure centre offers mountain boarding, skiing and snowboarding in the winter months (weather permitting), archery and crossbows, rifle and pistol shooting, slingshot paintball, zorbing, bumper balls, survival and bushcraft courses, den building, go-kart building / racing and team building activities!
Todmorden's Lucky dog was made famous on your telly box in Derren Brown's TV show 'The Experiments'. Rumour has it he brings good luck to anybody who gives him a friendly pat. The Todmorden Toy & Model Museum is a treasure trove of over 5000 toys and models, both for sale and on display!
Calderdale's Museums offer family fun all year round with a wide variety of exciting exhibitions, talks, demonstrations, half-term and holiday 'Sparks!' craft workshops, author events and more! And Bankfield Museum has FREE entry!
