Food & Drink

Many food and drink businesses in Calderdale are offering takeaway options or a delivery service, so you can eat ‘inn’ (okay, *groan*) and still be loyal to some of your favourite local places. Visit this Food Directory to discover a range of our wonderful local producers and businesses offering local produce and services. We've also created a list of independent shops, restaurants and cafes that are adapting their offer to include click n' collect, delivery and takeaway so that you can still buy from them and support independent businessess throughout the lockdown.

Shopping in Calderdale

The Totally Locally Online Shop allows you to browse and buy online from many different Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd businesses, all in one place. Have a browse, discover and support our amazing independent shops from the comfort and safety of your own home!

We can’t tell you where to shop, but a national chain store is going to have a lot less trouble surviving in the ‘new normal’ than our small independent retailers will. So we will ask you to please, please be loyal to your local shops, cafes and restaurants and shop Totally Locally wherever you can. Why not buy a coffee from that barista in the market you’ve never tried before, instead of going to ‘Starcostas’ as usual? Buy bread from your bakers, fruit n’ veg from your greengrocer, get a BBQ pack from your local butchers; buy books from your bookshop and not a faceless online retail giant or supermarket.

Buy local or it'll be bye-bye local. If we don’t use our great independent shops, we’ll lose ‘em. It’s as simple as that.
