DetailsOur Alpaca walks can be tailored to suit, usually lasting about an hour in total depending on group size and ability. Alpacas make ideal companions for walking whether it be in groups, singles or special occasions and is great fun for families.
Take a walk on the wild side in the stunning South Pennines and Calder Valley. Our walks can be suited to your own requirements, but usually are for length of a single hour, staying on our own land. Your day will start upon arrival with a brief talk about bio security. You will then be introduced to the Alpacas and those who will be accompanying you for your walk. We will let you get used to your alpacas by feeding them and let them get to know you a little before we set off. We will halter the boys in the paddock and allow you lead them a little so you can get a feel for them. Then were under starters orders…. and were off!
Walks usually start mid morning and mid afternoon but we can do special walks at times to suite you if you want to see sunrise or sunset in this truly beautiful part of Yorkshire. In Summer walks are undertaken in all weather subject to safety but in Winter we may have to cancel if the weather is extreme. You need to be prepared for all weathers in Yorkshire!

Short Description Hello!! We (and the Alpacas) are based in the Southern Pennines in the picturesque Calder Valley outside the small market town of Hebden Bridge. We are a 15 minute bus ride from town. We first became interested in Alpacas in 2012 and have then since travelled South Wales to build our small award winning heard. Our boys are suited to the South Pennines given there native roots in South America and they love the long Summer days up in the hills just outside the lovely village of Blackshaw Head which is a mere 5 minutes away by car and bus from Heben Bridge. Come along and go for a walk with one of the guys, both you and they will love walking round our land in the country and you will experience the serenity and peacefulness of these beautiful Alpacas, and oh.. did I forget, the scenery ‘ain’t alf’ bad either!
