B&Bs & Guesthouses, Cycling Friendly, Family, Serviced Accommodation, Walking Friendly : Hebden Bridge

Old Chamber
£
Set in the hamlet of Old Chamber, this former working farm barn offers stunning views over Hebden Bridge.

The B & B is run by Julie with occasional help from her friendly neighbours. Two en-suite double rooms are available..

We welcome walkers and mountain bikers - there's a large, secure garage where you can lock up your boots and bikes, and plenty of room to park your car.

The Pennine hills and valleys around Hebden Bridge have long been popular with visitors. Walking and cycling are popular activities, whether just strolling along a riverside path, or following the stone causeways ("causeys") that mark old packhorse routes. Britain's first National Trail, the Pennine Way, passes close by, while the Calderdale Way, a 50-mile (80 km) circular route around the Calder Valley, skirts the town. A growing network of bridleways makes excellent mountain-biking and horse-riding routes, including the Mary Towneley Loop, part of the Pennine Bridleway.

Directions

By Road:
From A646 Burnley Road, turn onto Hebble End, past the entrance to the Co Op Food Store. Follow this road and veer left, signed Fairfield. You are now on Palace House Road. At the very end of this road (you will see the train track and station to your left), there is a concrete single track lane going up through the trees, signed Wood Top Road. This lane cuts through a group of houses at Wood Top. Keep on the main lane going up. You will see a red post box, then the concrete becomes a cobbled lane, Spencer Lane. At the top of this hill, veer right. Old Chamber B&B is the first habited house on the right.
