The IOU Hebden Bridge Hostel is set in stunning woodland and gardens in the vibrant town of Hebden Bridge, close to the Pennine Way. With excellent transport links, the Hostel offers contemporary, comfortable and affordable accommodation across 11 private en-suite rooms, three shard dorms and self-catering vegetarian kitchen facilities.

Run by West Yorkshire-based arts charity IOU, the not-for-profit hostel provides a high standard of accessible accommodation for visitors to stay, create and explore. Perfect for solo travellers, families and groups, for one night, a weekend or longer, to explore the moors and towns of the Calderdale and the South Pennines. Our friendly staff will help you get the most out of your visit.

The Hostel is also available for exclusive use for groups, family holidays and private events with a range of spaces suitable for creative workshops and retreats.

The Hostel is set within dramatic hills, rivers, waterfalls and wooded valleys as is the friendly market town of Hebden Bridge. Our town is famous for its literary connections, LGBTQ community, its many pubs, restaurants, coffee houses, independent shops and cinema, canal and marina, and not forgetting iconic music venue The Trades Club, We could go on but ultimately we hope you are going to come and experience it all for yourselves.

Situated within five minutes walking distance of Hebden Bridge in a peaceful woodland setting, nestled into the hillside just above the town and part of the historic Birchcliffe Centre. With fourteen generously sized ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to forty. Choose from private doubles, triples, four and six single beds, and budget dorm bed to whole lets for groups conferences, retreats and schools.

Nestled into woodland and yet only a short walk from the town centre, river and canal; the hostel makes a good base for hiking, sight-seeing, shopping or experiencing Hebden’s vibrant music and arts scene. Handy for the Pennine way, Calderdale Way and Hebden – Haworth walks.

The Hostel is fully accessible with a disabled car park and step free access to the Hostel door.

On the ground floor is an accessible toilet as well as a double accessible bedroom with full en-suite facilities.
