Pace Egg Plays, Heptonstall

Heptonstall Pace Egg Play is a traditional Mumming Play performed in Weavers Square on Good Fridays, attracting hundreds of visitors to the village. Good Friday 15th April 2022

 

The World Dock Pudding Championships, Mytholmroyd

Dock Pudding is a local delicacy little-known outside the Calder Valley area of Yorkshire. The Dock Pudding Championship was founded in 1971 to help preserve it and is the highlight of a food and drink festival held on the same day. Saturday 30th April 2022

 

The Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival

Described as the “Shining jewel of the UK Burlesque scene” by This Is Cabaret, the Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival brings fun-filled fabulousness featuring some of the best performers from the world of Burlesque and Alternative Cabaret. 28th April – 1st May 2022

 

The Handmade Parade, Hebden Bridge

The Hebden Bridge Handmade Parade is an annual celebration of funkiness, the art of the handmade, and is just sheer fun! As part of the wider Hebden Bridge Arts Festival, hundreds of people dance down the streets of Hebden Bridge, watched by thousands, culminating in a party in the park!  (2022 Dates TBC)

 

Rushbearing Festival, Ripponden & Sowerby Bridge

Two days of rush-related tradition and tomfoolery focusing on the progress of the Rushcart’s procession around towns and villages, with some of the region’s finest musicians and morris dancing teams providing entertainment for the crowds. (First full weekend in September 2022 Dates TBC.)
