The Rink - Ice Skating at the Piece Hall, Halifax

Calderdale's coolest attraction is back for its third year! This 600m2 winter ice rink is one of the biggest and most spectacular ice attractions in the North of England. Under the protection of its giant marquee, you can skate when you want, not when the weather dictates.

Set in the courtyard of the historic Piece Hall the Rink has a cafe selling hot  and cold drinks and confectionery. There are also other food and drink outlets around the Piece Hall and Halifax town centre, as well as a multitude of shops.

Enjoy the outdoors – whether it’s the high level Pennine Way or 50 mile Calderdale Way or walks around 50 acres of National Trust at Hardcastle Crags or along the towpaths of the district's canals. Cycle routes include the Pennine Cycleway and the Calder Valley Cycleway or for horseriders link to the Pennine Bridleway via the Mary Towneley Loop.
